Our Brown Hojary (Hojari) Frankincense (Boswellia sacra) is fair trade & sustainable. A rather unknown Frankincense from harvested in the Dhofar region in Oman, it is deemed rather exotic because of its dark color, which similar to molasses. It has a dark, rocky, rough appearance, and to some appears black under some lighting conditions but the aroma completely surprises you, as the Brown Hojary has a stronger scent of fruit than the green, white or light brown Hojary. Incidentally, it is used primarily for essential oil distillation because of its high concentration of oils.

Review Dark Brown Hojari
When I read that the Dark Brown Hojari had a fruitier scent than all the other colors, I had my doubts. But this has become my "go-to" Frankincense. It is the most aromatic Frankincense I had ever sampled.

New Brown Hojary
This new batch smells just excellent!
It doesn’t look as pretty as the “green” hojary
Frankincense, but it certainly surprised me how good it smells!
