Oman frankincense resin (Boswellia sacra), standard Hojary grade frankincense handpicked from the Dhofar region of Oman, are considered by many to be the finest frankincense resin in the world. The first choice Hojary resins are primarily the smaller selected white and citrus colored tears. The Dhofar region of Oman, with their arid climate, provide ideal growing conditions for fine quality frankincense resin. Standard Hojary frankincense resins produce beautiful bright citrus aroma with slight underlying woody and balsamic tones. Of the frankincense resins from around the world, Hojary is the most sought after of all.

In the past many of the trees in Oman have been over-harvested and not properly rested, forcing harvesters to travel further into the desert for quality resins. Economic growth and the expansion of towns, homes and businesses are also encroaching upon trees. The long-term survival of the international frankincense trade of Oman resins is now in the hands of the Sultanate of Oman. The government has taken control of the entire process and is now releasing stock on a very limited basis.We have been doing our best to obtain resins but can only import small shipments.
