Patchouli leaves (cut) - Pogostemom cablin - from India. Patchouli has a deep, intense, woody fragrance. Certified organic.
Pachouli translates to “green leaf” in Tamil (Indian). It was traditionally used in Indian culture to keep away moths and rodents. Mattresses were stuffed with patchouli leaves and sachets were made as it was thought that patchouli could prevent contagion.
Europe was introduced to patchouli when traders arrived home from India with beautifully crafted shawls that were also heavily scented. The elite ladies who wore the shawls loved the fragrance so much. The strong fragrance of patchouli quickly became synonymous with wealth.
Patchouli has excellent fixative properties and mixes very well with vetiver, sandalwood, myrrh and other earthy and herbal scents.

Patchouli leaves
Intoxicating and beautiful strong aroma. Being organic is a plus. The shipping was fast. I will use the leaves to make a tea to use as a hair rinse and face, neck and decatauge spritz.♥️

NICE!
I just started smudging so still learning. Leaves are small enough so they burn on the charcoal very nice. I was impressed with the beautiful, calming scent that remained long after the burn.
