Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) from Peru, also known as "Holy Wood".
Palo Santo is a tree native to Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula to Peru and Venezuela including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador and on the Galapagos islands. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh.
This unusual powdery resin can be burned on charcoal like any other incense resin, filling the space with a sweet warm fragrance.
