Sandalwood of another species, Santalum spicatum, is native to Western Australia. This sandalwood is deadwood; that is, sandalwood that has naturally died and collected from the desert floors. No living trees are used. The powder is beautifully aromatic, containing the essential oil elements. Best for burning and recommended for use in meditation, religious and custom ceremonies. You can burn these chips to aid in calming and relaxation. Other uses include infusion into soaps, baths and ointments.
