Frankincense Hojary Sultan's Choice (Boswellia sacra) - Oman *NEW*

Scents of Earth
$16.50

Brand new! As our customer demand rises for the finest frankincense available, we offer the most sought after frankincense in the world, Sultan's Choice Light Green Hojary (Boswellia sacra). While in high demand, it is low in supply as the Sultanate of Oman releases only a small amount of their finest frankincense for exporting with each harvest. The tears are pale white or yellow, with a greenish tint when held in natural light. Coloration varies from harvest to harvest, due to environmental issues.

The primary reason for the small amount available is this particular Hojary is harvested from the very top of the tree. In addition, there isn't necessarily a harvest of this prized frankincense every year due to climate conditions. Sultan's Choice Light Green Hojary offers you the lemon, lime and eucalyptus scent that has been treasured for centuries. It is said to be the ultimate in mind, body and soul purification.

In the past many of the trees in Oman have been over-harvested and not properly rested, forcing harvesters to travel further into the desert for quality resins. Economic growth and the expansion of towns, homes and businesses are also encroaching upon trees. The long-term survival of the international frankincense trade of Oman resins is now in the hands of the Sultanate of Oman. The government has taken control of the entire process and is now releasing stock on a very limited basis, which is why we only receive small shipments.

Supplies are limited.
